Flat roof repair is one of our many roofing specialties!
When it comes to flat roofs, there’s always a possibility that water can puddle on top and not drain properly. When water gathers and sits, it can easily soak into the roof through the seams and cause structural damage. However, there are several signs to look for to determine if you need to repair your flat roof. First, check your gutters to see if they need upkeep. If they need replacement, there’s a good possibility that your roof needs attention as well. Also try to spot any debris gathering on top of the roof. Leaves and other foliage hold moisture that can cause your roof to rot as well. If you’re just not sure, just contact us. We’d be happy to come out and give you a free inspection.
A brief explanation on the different types of roofs we install:
Quality Assurance Roofing also repairs and replaces flat roofs no matter the material. We’re CertainTeed and Symphony approved to repair or replace it whether it’s…
Asphalt: A roll asphalt roof does what it says. The material is rolled onto the flat surface over the felt. Then, it’s nailed down and applied with cold asphalt cement followed by the final application of the granular, mineral surface.
Single-ply flat roof: Another self-descriptive roof, this is composed of a single layer of a rubber-like compound made of materials like PVC, EPDM and TPO
Multi-ply: Same as above, multiple layers
Modified bitumen: An asphalt that has modifiers like aluminum, gravel or slag that give it rubber-like properties
Flat-seamed metal: The joining of metal panels, folded on over the other, hammered down to make a flat seam. Then it is fully soldered to provide a weather-tight joint.
